Pregnant ‘American Idol’ alum Gabby Barrett has taken to the stage at the 2020 CMA Awards for a special rendition of her song ‘I Hope’ with Charlie Puth.
Gabby Barrett has taken the stage at the Country Music Association Awards to perform her smash hit “I Hope”. The former American Idol star, who is currently pregnant with her first child, was joined by Charlie Puth for a special duet of the single, which earned her two nominations at the annual awards ceremony. The blonde beauty donned a black pantsuit with gold detailing on the shoulders as she slicked her hair back into a low ponytail. She was also joined on stage by her husband Cade Foehner, 24, who played guitar alongside her and Charlie.

Earlier in the night stunned in a sparkly silver gown with gorgeous cape detailing. The floor-length dress featured a high neckline and a sheer cape which fell over her shoulders as she cradled her growing baby bump. The singer looked incredibly glam with her blonde tresses styled in old Hollywood curls. She also accessorized with silver drop earrings and a matching ring.

The relative newcomer was up for two awards at the ceremony: Single Of The Year for “I Hope” and New Artist Of The Year. At 20 years old, she’s already solidified her place on the country music stage, and is one half of a musical power couple with her husband Cade Foehner. The pair, who met in 2018 on American Idol, walked side-by-side on the CMA red carpet, with Cade donning a classic black suit and a black hat.

The pair are actually expecting their first child together. Due in early 2021, the hitmaker revealed she found out she was pregnant in May. “We were in Texas visiting Cade’s side of his family,” she told PEOPLE. “And it’s funny, because I did not think that I was. Around lunchtime, I remember taking the test and my eyes nearly crossed! I was like, ‘Wait, is that two lines?’ I came running out to Cade and was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I think I am.’ That’s all that I said, and he knew what that meant. I started crying, and it was very sweet.”
In an exclusive interview with HollywoodLife back in March 2020, Gabby revealed she didn’t want to wait too long before having kids. “I knew from a young age, I always definitely wanted to be a mom,” she told us. “I always loved playing with baby dolls and babysitting. I used to babysit all the time when I was in middle school and high school.”
