In February of 2025, Liliya Oliynyk was awarded 150,000 hryvnias within the confines of The Culture of Design prize, established through the collaboration of Ukrainian Fashion Week and fashion outlet INTERTOP Ukraine to champion emerging talents. For a half-year duration, with Volodymyr Podolyan acting as mentor, the budding designer put the finishing touches on her assemblage, titled genderless x INTERTOP, now available for viewing on INTERTOP.UA. We are here to detail the essential facets of this collection.

The cornerstone of the genderless x INTERTOP collection lies in pieces that interweave runway appeal, practicality, and significance. Liliya remarks, “We succeeded in crafting a collection that’s both captivating and user-friendly. My emphasis is on ensuring garments aren’t just visually striking but also pleasant to wear. Hence, the capsule’s prime objective is to offer versatile items for women, blending ease with meticulously designed details.” Instantly recognizable components of the assortment include subtle nuances that stir up recollections of tender experiences. The foremost spark for the designer originated from the steppe flora of Ukraine’s southeast, many of which face endangerment. “I’ve long cherished a deep bond with the natural world; to me, plants act as keys that unlock memories,” the young woman shares.
Plant visualizations are rendered in the patterns and feels of tops, a co-ordinated trouser ensemble, a coat, a silken gown paired with knitwear, footwear, short boots, and satchels. A distinct characteristic of this offering involves cotton tees embellished with depictions of feather grass and sedge, complete with ecological labels, each housing genuine plant seeds—allowing patrons to cultivate a fragment of the Ukrainian steppe within their dwellings.
“This launch carries deep sentiment, drawing from emotions and memories echoing with numerous Ukrainians. Our creations emphasize uniqueness while blending seamlessly into daily attire,” states Anton Bokyi, CMO of INTERTOP. To encapsulize the genderless x INTERTOP assortment, it mirrors the attire of a contemporary, sophisticated voyager who perpetually carries a memento of their homeland and the environment, no matter their destination.
“The Culture of Design initiative extends an opportunity for fledgling designers not just to voice their vision, but also to propel themselves into their professional trajectory, garnering invaluable insights through partnering with a major retailer. The introduction of Liliya Oliynyk’s offerings in conjunction with INTERTOP, an influential enterprise, underscores how the synergy between fresh talent and conscientious business practices fosters novel avenues for the progression of Ukraine’s fashion realm. Identifying emerging figures, cementing enduring affiliations, and uplifting the forthcoming cohort of Ukrainian creators remains of utmost importance to us,” asserts Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.
