People and Us Weekly both devoted their issues this week to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and both outlets got scoops on their 10-month-old son Archie’s life these days on Vancouver Island in Canada. Archie gets a lot of fresh air with his mom, and he truly is on the cusp of walking.
A source told People that “he’s doing great. He’s grabbing onto things and picking himself up. He’s starting to have movement, which is really exciting.”
Archie’s parents are doing wonderfully, too. “They are really happy,” People’s source said. “Harry is the best dad—he’s so into it. And Meghan is a natural.”
Us Weekly, meanwhile, got a source to talk about Meghan’s daily walks with her son. “Meghan takes a walk with Archie every single day through the woods,” the source said. “She either pushes him in a stroller through the paved trails through the public woods by their home or straps him on and walks the more rustic routes. The walks usually last around an hour or two, but she takes them daily.”
Meghan is “very kind to the locals she meets while hiking,” the source added, noting she stops to chat with them. “She’s all around pleasant to strangers .She is telling friends that she is so happy to be out in nature and [in] their secluded area.”
Meghan’s glow is genuine, Us’s source added: “That look of joy on her face is real. She’s gotten exactly what she wanted.”
Meghan herself offered a couple of small updates on Archie during her visit to the UK last week. Meghan is back with her son Archie now, who remained in Canada during the couple’s visit to England because of their busy schedule and coronavirus fears.
At the Endeavour Fund Awards last Thursday, Meghan told attendee Claire Spencer that Archie “is into everything” these days. And during her final solo event at Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham, Essex, East of London last Friday, Meghan spoke a little more about Archie being on the cusp of a big milestone and his impact on her life. The Duchess revealed that Archie has “started trying to walk” and that “having Archie changed my life.”
