Meghan Markle Wears White Dress for Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving

Meghan Markle’s most public appearance during her and Prince Harry’s stay in the U.K. during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee has arrived. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out this morning in London to attend the national Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen at St. Paul’s Cathedral with other members of the royal family. Meghan leaned into her royal style and dressed up in all white Dior Haute Couture, pairing a belted coat dress with a chic white hat by Stephen Jones for Dior. She wore her hair up in a bun and had a smoky eye and nude lipstick on for makeup.

The couple’s children, three-year-old Archie and nearly-one-year-old Lilibet, did not accompany the couple.

She and Harry did show a little PDA while entering the church:

Meghan attended Trooping the Colour with Prince Harry yesterday, but the couple did not participate in the carriage procession or balcony flypast viewing due to their status as non-working royal family members. Harry and Meghan stepped back from their senior royal family roles in 2020.

Meghan was photographed in the window of the Major General’s Office in a wide-brimmed Stephen Jones hat and navy off-the-shoulder dress. She and Harry watched the parade with other members of the royal family there.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson explained early last month why Harry and Megan weren’t invited to be on the balcony. “After careful consideration, the Queen has decided that this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd of June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen,” the rep said.

Meghan and Harry have kept their exact schedule for Platinum Jubilee events private. They arrived in London with Lili and Archie on Wednesday.
