Four global trends

Within its Global Consumer Trends 2026 study, the company has pinpointed four key trends predicted to shape worldwide consumer activity.

Comfort Zone

According to Euromonitor International, customers are in pursuit of ease and clarity in the face of global instability. In a worldwide context where 58% of consumers report feeling moderate to intense stress every day.

To fulfill these expectations, enterprises must craft offerings that provide comfort, build confidence, streamline life, or encourage equilibrium, potentially through natural and nourishing components, thereby emphasizing emotional support.

Fiercely Unfiltered

Consumers are adopting unapologetic self-expression and complete transparency. Half of all consumers look for offerings that mirror their distinct identity, whereas 65% believe society is accepting of their authentic selves. As a result, Euromonitor asserts that businesses should prioritize hyper-segmentation for customized strategies to connect with particular client types or purchaser profiles.

Rewired Wellness

The need for sophisticated, medically authorized wellness options is growing, with consumers prepared to invest in superior items featuring scientific formulas. 49% of consumers would consider paying 10% or more for premium beauty products containing a scientific formulation. Brands can utilize data-supported storytelling to showcase health advantages and inform consumers about the value of their products.

Next Asian Wave

East Asian labels, particularly Chinese firms, are increasing their global influence through a mix of affordability, innovation, and digital-first encounters. By 2026, China’s anticipated export value is expected to hit USD 4 trillion.

To stay competitive, businesses should enhance mobile-centric digital experiences and create seamless shopping experiences that merge content with commerce.
