Its history began in the middle of the 20th century with the merger of two well-known brands: the Roches, a family from France that had been running a successful furniture business since the 19th century, and the Chouchans, who opened a furniture salon in Paris in the 1950s. Thus, in the early 1960s, a new brand was born in Paris. From the very beginning, it took a course towards modernity and started with the production of Scandinavian-style furniture, which, a few decades later, with the light hand of Roche Bobois, became a craze throughout Europe.
