Atmospheric premiere
MONATIK and KOLA presented the song “127”, which was included in MONATIK's fourth solo album “Eternally Dancing Man”, and an incredibly atmospheric video reminiscent of New York cinema.
The video was directed by Ruslan Makhov. The work impresses with its black-and-white style and rich color accents, creating a feeling of art film. The atmosphere of warmth and sincerity that reigned on the set can be felt in every frame.
“I see songs in colors. This one is black and white at the same time, merging into gray, and from there any palette is born. As if circle after circle – thoughts, different and necessary, that do not allow you to stop. And each circle adds a new shade. Add them with love. Because this is my spring,” shares MONATIK.
KOLA adds: “It was so easy and warm on the set, as if everything happened by itself. We laughed, supported each other, and this atmosphere remained in the video. Our story is about love in all its manifestations, which must be accepted, cherished, and not feared. Because it is love that destroys fear and pain, leaving only light and happiness.”
More than 50 actors from mass scenes, as well as performers who performed their contempo parts, were involved in the filming of the video. One of the main performers was Konstantin Tomilchenko, a cult figure in the world of dance. He performed a solo performance especially for the video.
“The song “127” has a special meaning for Dima – I know that the title encodes the birth dates of his children, and he experiences it in a very special way. And for me, it's a song about true feelings that don't disappear. About the fact that love has no expiration date. If you really love, it's forever,” says KOLA.
