From role-playing games like World of Warcraft to online casinos, Facebook games or even free online solitaire, there is simply something for everyone. Even the rich and famous can’t resist the lure of winning and losing, with many openly talking about their love of online gaming. So, let’s have a look at some famous would-be gamers and what they might like to play.
1. Star Wars Star
From the Star Wars franchise to Snakes on a Plane, Unbreakable, and Die Hard with a Vengeance, this star is certainly used to the big screen. However, we imagine he has something of a gaming habit, meaning he could also love the action on the small screen. He has spoken quite widely about the fact that he enjoys driving, so we think he would play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and would blame him because, after all, he is a featured character. Imagine being able to run around the screen as yourself and get up to all sorts of things that just wouldn’t go down well in real life.
2. The One from Friends
In Friends, his character has a love of watching television, in particular, Baywatch, and also playing the classic table game Foosball. There was also the one where Phoebe bought a retro Pacman machine as a wedding gift for his character, Chandler, and his new wife, Monica, which led to Chandler ending up with a claw hand from playing too long. In real life, This actor may also be a video game buff who enjoys plenty of online action. We imagine that his favorite game is Fallout 3 because it ended up being good for his career as he appeared in the sequel New Vegas as Benny.
3. A Spaceman?
If you’re one of the richest people on the planet, you can pretty much afford to do whatever you like. It would come as no surprise if a tech giant enjoyed gaming as well as challenging rivals of other social media sites to an ultimate fighting challenge, a little bit of fisticuffs at dawn! While we can’t be sure what he spends his evenings doing, we could see him being a fan of games such as Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, and Half-Life 2. Never really content to stand on the side and be an observer, he has also been developing high-end Tesla cars that can stream gaming action on the main screens. Apparently, world domination will be his one day, but until then, the top spot on the gaming leaderboard will have to do.
4. Bond, James Bond
007, James Bond certainly was a fan of gadgets, so perhaps it’s only natural that this actor would find video games a great way to spend his downtime. In 2022, the epic detective movie The Glass Onion, starring the man himself, even featured Among Us, the hit mobile game. When it comes to his own gaming choices, we think with Bond’s love of cars, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City would suit him. Perhaps he and the Jedi master could get together for a Grand Theft Auto tournament or two; the only question would be whether they play in Vice City or San Andreas.
5. Spider Man
A couple of superheroes make up the next two famous possible gamers on our list; let’s start with Spider-Man, we predict that he is a PlayStation addict and loves to spend his downtime playing Uncharted 4. We know he works closely with the Naughty Dog-developed franchise because he ended up as the lead in the film adaptation of Uncharted. Perhaps someone should tell him that PS5 offers Spider-Man 2, as we are pretty sure he would be very good at the game.
6. Superman
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Superman. Well, actually, in this case, the man behind the cape. We see him as a role-playing game fan, and he must love first-person shooters because he developed his own PC game to do just that. Also, we think he would love Witcher gaming, as he was also in the Netflix TV series, playing the role of Geralt of Rivia.
7. A Pop Princess and Child Star
What about those girly gamers? We are going to start with a pop princess and child star. Between her frequent movie hits and chaotic life dramas, we are sure she manages to fit a little downtime with some gaming. We don’t know exactly what games she enjoys, but one thing we do know is that she has been vocal about her love of the Wii U console that bombed at release. So we imagine Nintendo is her platform of choice, and she probably has a list of favorites that she plays every now and then.
8. Brains and Beauty
Considered to be one of the most popular actresses in the world, it may come as a surprise to some that this clever lady actually studied biochemical engineering as a university degree, where she learned to code computers. Now married to a male superstar, the pair are both very capable coders. However, she had spoken many times of her gaming love when she was at university; her downtime was spent playing World of Warcraft. Apparently, this was too engaging and saw her wasting far too much time, although evidently, it didn’t get in the way of developing an international career.
9. Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel herself, may just be another dedicated gamer. We think she would also be a Nintendo fan, like a fellow actress and pop princess. Saving galaxies must be pretty tiring, so we can’t say we would blame her for enjoying some downtime. We can see her enjoying Zelda and Mario games as she has starred in some Nintendo commercials.
10. Fast and Furious
Cool as a cucumber, the Fast & Furious legend strikes us as someone who loves online multiplayer role-playing games. These include Call of Duty and many others in the MMORPGs genre. He is definitely a budding game developer; he created the Tigon Studios name, where he made a game based on the Chronicles of Riddick, his own film series. Something of a hidden gem and well worth looking at if you enjoy online gaming.
