This year, the legendary Saatchi Gallery near London opened an exhibition of current Ukrainian photography FUTURESPECTIVE. This project was also initiated by the Vogue Ukraine team in partnership with the global platform supporting young photographers PhotoVogue. The first exhibition was successfully held at the M17 Center for Current Mystery in Kiev. Now the work of 34 photos, which reveal sensitive and insightful stories about modern Ukraine, can be seen in the heart of the British capital.

The FUTURESPECTIVE exhibition is a unique opportunity to reach an international audience, which is the current Ukrainian art. For this purpose, the Vogue Ukraine team has collected a large-scale portfolio of young photographers who work in various techniques and genres. Many of the presenting authors have already collaborated with Vogue Ukraine (Vasilina Vrublevska, Yan Vasyuchnik, Anna Brudna and Daria Svertilova). These names have become popular and will soon debut on the ties of the day..

The official opening at Saatchi Gallery brought together industry leaders – international editors, curators, stylists and creative directors. The guests included the chief editor of Ukrainian Vogue, Venya Brikalin, and the creative director of the magazine, Marta Bertman, who oversaw the FUTURESPECTIVE project. They spoke about the mission of the project – to discover new names of Ukrainian mitts and promote them in the international arena – and they identified creative voices that represent the new generation of Ukrainian photographs. Katerina Spivakova, the director of communications and relations at KERNEL, also spoke at the promotional stage. A leading Ukrainian grower and exporter of dormouse oil and grains with a special sign “Special Look” within the FUTURESPECTIVE project. A prize in the amount of 100,000 hryvnia for the implementation of upcoming projects was won by one of the participants in the exhibition and a contributor to the video, Kiev photographer Vik Bakin. During the evening, a new limited-edition line of merchandise with collectible prints was presented, which can be purchased in the online store vogue.ua. All proceeds from sales will go directly to the Veteranka Foundation, which the editors traditionally support.
