Lauren Bushnell got SO much love on her pregnancy announcement post — including a comment from her ex-fiance, Ben Higgins!
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have both moved on since their split in 2017, but they’re clearly on amicable terms! On Dec. 6, Lauren announced that she and her husband, Chris Lane, are expecting their first child. They received thousands of congratulatory comments, and Ben even popped up to wish the couple well. “Congrats!” he wrote. “What a thing to celebrate!”
Considering Ben doesn’t even follow Lauren on the social media site, he seems to have went out of his way to send love to his ex. Ben proposed to Lauren on season 20 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2016. They were together for a year and a half when they split in May 2017. Then, Lauren started dating Chris, a country singer during the summer of 2018, and they got engaged the following June. They tied the knot in Oct. 2019 and have been open about wanting to start a family ever since.

Now, their wish has finally come true. Lauren and Chris announced their pregnancy news by sharing a video of one of their baby’s sonograms. “A dream,” Lauren captioned the video. “Except I’m not dreaming. I’m wide awake. Holding your dad’s hand, watching you dance around in my belly. Listening to your little heart beat. My new favorite sound. A miracle. New life. Our sweet baby. Thank you Jesus! All the glory belongs to You.”

Additionally, on her Instagram Story, Lauren further hinted that she and Chris had some trouble conceiving. “As exciting as we are, for me, it was sometimes hard to see posts like this,” she wrote. “For those on their own journey to getting pregnant, I’m thinking of you. Thank you for all the love.” On his page, Chris added, “Prayer works! Hope you look like your mama.”
Meanwhile, Ben has also found his happy ending with Jess Clarke. Ben and Jess started dating at the beginning of 2019, but kept their romance private for several months before going public with their love. Ben proposed in March 2020 while they were quarantined together amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
