Photos from around the world
Sofia Yablonska, whose youth fell on the rocks of Another World War, wrote that she wanted to live her life in such a way that no one could spare her at home. The life of a nomad, as she knew, in order to find her own calling, became fruitful.
Vona was born in 1907 in the Lviv region in the priest’s homeland. Since childhood I have dreamed about mandri light and vanilla beans. “I won’t care about that distant land, which is what we know, only on the other side of the earthly earth. And maybe, if I fall into such a deep hole, I can break the ground and still reach the edge, where vanilla…”, said little Sofia to her mother.
