Next Saturday, October 15, Minsk will hold a city clean-up day. And a creative one at that.
Events with competitions and tea parties in many areas of the capital will be held as part of the autumn month of cleaning, landscaping and greening.
The Minsk-Novosti agency reported this with reference to the Minsk City Housing Authority.

It is reported that entertainment programs have been prepared for Minsk residents who will go out to their yards for the cleanup day.
For example, in the Zavodskoy district, in the courtyards of some houses on Ilimskaya Street, a joint campaign with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, “Order and Safety in Every Yard,” will be held.
And in the Leninsky district (courtyards of some houses on Arkadiya Smolich and A. Dudar streets) children will be delighted with an entertainment program with competitions – dedicated to the separate collection of waste.
In the Sovietsky district (yard of house No. 139a on Bogdanovich Street) it is planned to plant an alley as part of the “Green Yard Together” campaign.
In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations equipment will be shown here, and entertainment for children will be organized, including competitions and quizzes.
In the Pervomaysky district, a mascot named Mishka Plombir will appear in the area around some houses on Volgogradskaya Street.
A creative program and tea party will also be organized here for all participants of the clean-up day.
It is noted that on October 15, participants in the “Green Yard Together” campaign will plant shrubs and trees, remove fallen leaves, and carry out other work in the capital’s courtyards.
