Continuation of the drama on Netflix
Netflix has released a teaser for the fourth season of Bridgerton and announced when new episodes of the costume drama will be available on the service, according to Tudum.
The new season of “Bridgerton” is dedicated to Benedict, the second son in the family. After the successful marriages of his sister and brothers, it's his turn to find love.
The main character will meet Sophie, a maid with secrets and dreams. He will meet his future chosen one at a masquerade thrown by Violet Bridgerton.
The fourth season is based on Julia Quinn's novel A Gentleman's Proposal — Netflix claims that the story of Benedict and Sophie will be reminiscent of the plot of Cinderella.
“More than one guest at the masquerade told the author of these lines that Benedict Bridgerton was seen in the company of an unknown lady in a silver dress… The identity of the young lady is a secret that she carefully hides,” says Julia Quinn’s book.
Benedict was played by Luke Thompson and Sophie by Yerin Ha. Simon Ashley, Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Cochran, Anna Dodd and other actors also returned to their roles.
The Bridgerton sequel will premiere in 2026 and will consist of eight episodes. The first half of the fourth season will be released on January 29, and the second half will be released on February 26.
