The teen drama “Gossip Girl” about the life of the New York elite debuted on September 17, 2007 – 18 years ago! On the occasion of the series' anniversary, Blake Lively, who plays Serena van der Woodsen, shared archival photos from the filming on her Instagram.
“This show was my college. It was my education, my social life, my hard work, my late nights and early mornings, my teacher. New York, Silvercup Studios (and sometimes Paris) were my campus for six years,” the actress captioned a series of photos.
Pictured are Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley and other actors. They played the roles of teenagers from wealthy families for six seasons, until the final episode, which aired on December 17, 2012.
