The actor's illness is progressing every day
For several years, Emma Heming-Willis, Bruce Willis' wife, has been accompanying her husband, who suffers from dementia, and overcoming difficulties with him.
However, one of the latest decisions has become perhaps the most difficult for the actor's family. Now Bruce Willis will live in a separate home, where he will be provided with professional help, People reports.

In March 2022, the star of the film “Die Hard” put his professional career on hold due to a diagnosed speech disorder – aphasia.
The following year, Bruce Willis' family announced that the actor had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Bruce Willis is currently survived by his wife, British model Emma Heming-Willis. Together they raise two daughters: 13-year-old Mabel and 11-year-old Evelyn.

Until the diagnosis was made, Emma did not understand what was happening to her husband. It seemed as if their marriage was falling apart, although before that life with Bruce resembled a romantic and beautiful story, writes Vanity Fair.
The actor's dementia is progressing every day, but Emma continues to care for her husband. She recently decided that Bruce would be better off living in a one-story house nearby, as his illness requires a calm and carefree atmosphere. It is also Emma's attempt to provide everyone in the family with enough comfortable space – including her daughters, who can now simply “be children.”
“It breaks my heart. But it's how we were able to support our whole family, [and] it opened up Bruce's world,” Emma says in a comment to People.
In another home, he is provided with 24-hour professional care. Bruce is accompanied by his wife and daughters, who keep their belongings in the apartment.
“I can go back to being Bruce's wife and the kids can be kids. There's a beauty in that, and I'm so grateful for that,” says Bruce Willis' wife.
Despite her many things to do, Emma always thinks about her husband, notes Vanity Fair.
She notes that Bruce has his own way of communicating with his family — and no one else understands it. Sometimes the couple hold hands, smile at each other, hug — they just exist.
“I can sit and just love him completely,” Emma shares. “The way he is today.”
