Say a hearty thank you to the team at Indochine NYC, who posted footage that witness Katie Gottfried took of Jennifer Lawrence joyously dancing to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” with her friend Paul Arnhold on its Instagram. J.Law got fully into it and captured, in just a couple seconds, the mood we should all aspire to have this holiday:
Lawrence was at Indochine for Arnhold’s 35th birthday party. It looked like one hell of a bash. The actress wore a black mini dress and kept her hair down.
Lawrence has kept a relatively low profile since she married Cooke Maroney at the end of October. She spoke to Catt Sadler in June about how dating Maroney led her to being more comfortable going out to public places despite her A-list celebrity.
“I feel like I got to know myself in the past year,” she started. “It was great. You know, I met somebody, I fell in love, and I started a new life in New York. It’s not as private as I would love for it to be, but I have been doing things that I didn’t actually think that I could. I used to have a stigma about, you know, I’d get nervous before going to restaurants, or I felt like I couldn’t go to dive bars. There were just certain things, like, ‘Oh, I can’t do that.’ And then the past year, I’ve just been doing all of that. And I feel like my life is more well-rounded because I took time off.”
“Honestly, I was dating someone [Cooke Maroney], and I didn’t want to tell him about [it,]” she continued. “You know, I wanted to be normal and cool, so I just kind of hid that part of me and everything ended up being fine. And I was like, ‘oh, I can do this.’ It was cool.”
