Gigi Hadid is already exposing her baby to the arts—and at one of the finest New York City institutions for it. The model took her and Zayn Malik’s almost seven-month-old to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the Upper East Side with her dad, Mohamed Hadid, yesterday. This is Khai’s second museum visit that has been publicly documented: Zayn and Gigi also took her to the American Museum of Natural History at the end of March.
Gigi started her Tuesday by sharing photos from their visit on both her Instagram Story and her Instagram grid. Most photos she shared were just of the museum’s art itself, but she shared a couple shots featuring Khai’s stroller and Khai herself. Khai’s personalized bracelet can be seen in a grid shot Gigi shared, and Khai’s full outfit is visible in an Instagram Story shot.

Gigi covered Khai’s face with a painting emoji. The move is not surprising, as Gigi and her sister, Bella Hadid, spoke to Vogue earlier this year about Gigi and Zayn’s decision to not to show Khai’s face in order to protect their daughter’s privacy.
Bella told Vogue, “I think she [Gigi] wants to be real online, but until her child wants to be in the spotlight and can make the decision herself, she doesn’t want to put her in that position.”
Gigi said she was inspired by the way her friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are raising their three daughters out of the spotlight. “I have friends who are public figures and that’s how they’ve gone about it, and I see their kids really blossom in a different way,” she said.
Blake Lively also spoke to Vogue about the advice she gave Gigi on raising a family as a celebrity. “I told her you have to do what works for you,” Blake said. “Gigi has a really special relationship with her fans, and I love how open she is on social media. I love seeing into her world. I’m grateful for what she shares but also understand whatever boundaries she chooses to set.”
