Ryan Reynolds did a little Twitter Q&A last night, where he fielded one question about his wife Blake Lively. “I need to know if @VancityReynolds has watched Gossip Girl. i NEED to know,” Twitter user Samantha wrote. Lively starred as Serena van der Woodsen on the ’00s CW show. It remains one of her most iconic roles.
Reynolds gave a very Ryan Reynolds answer: “I didn’t watch it. I drank it through my eyes.” Make what you will of that joke.

Reynolds’ tweet comes shortly after it was reported that Reynolds and his wife gave $400,000 to the hardest-hit New York hospitals. They also donated $1 million to Food Banks Canada and Feeding America.
They both announced the $1 million donation on their Instagrams and urged people to quarantine and take social distancing seriously during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lively managed to make a little joke about Reynolds at the end of her post though. She wrote:
Ryan & I are donating $1 million to be split between @feedingamerica and @foodbankscanada. If you can give, these orgs need our help.Though we must be distancing ourselves to protect those who don’t have the opportunity to self quarantine, we can stay connected. Remember the lonely and isolated. FaceTime, Skype, make a video. Remember the love that can travel through all this. Communities are stepping up—shopping for the elderly, making lunches for children. We can all do something for one another, even if that’s simply staying home. ❤️Sending so much love. Now can someone please tell Ryan that “emotional distancing” from his mother in law is not a thing. Nothing can save him. ☺️
