2021 has brought several surprise couples already, from Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers (who were secretly engaged) to Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde. Yesterday, Us Weekly and Page Six reported that another unexpected pair is dating during the coronavirus pandemic: Pete Davidson, 27, and Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor, 25. Amid COVID-19 travel restrictions and England’s lockdown, Davidson and Dynevor are making their romance work long distance.
One insider told Page Six that at this point, their relationship is “not too serious,” and work will be keeping the two physically apart for most of the year. Davidson is filming Saturday Night Live in New York City, while Dynevor is shooting Bridgerton’s second season in England “for practically the rest of the year,” per the outlet’s source.
“Still, Pete must like her if he’s flying off to quaint little English villages to hang out with her on set,” Page Six’s source said.
Us Weekly was told Davidson and Dynevor are staying virtually connected as they work in different countries. “Pete and Phoebe are still going strong despite not being able to physically spend time together,” a source told the outlet. “They keep in touch over text and FaceTime. Right now, they’re just focused on work. … They’re not looking to rush things.”
Us’s source said that Davidson is hoping to visit Dynevor in England for her 26th birthday on April 17. Lockdown restrictions in England are set to ease on April 12, but international travel is still not allowed and won’t be until next month. Davidson and Dynevor were seen together in Caverswall, England, in March though. Public policy can’t stop a celeb in love, it seems.
Generally, Dynevor and Davidson are “seeing where their relationship goes” and “trying to make long distance work,” Us’s source said. And for those curious about why these two connected, Us’s source said that Dynevor was primarily drawn to Davidson’s “sense of humor.” There was no mention of his famed “BDE” in the report.
