Update: A source told People today that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are not engaged, following rumors stating otherwise.
“They are very serious and plan on spending the future together,” the source said. “There will be an engagement at some point, but they are not engaged now.”
The source added that Fox is still finalizing her divorce from her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, with whom she shares three sons.
“Megan needs her divorce to be finalized before she can fully move on. She is very happy though,” the source said.
Original post:Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox sparked engagement rumors this week when a new photo of Fox captured a ring on a certain finger. The couple hasn’t confirmed their engagement, but on Friday, Fox seemed to have a response of her own.
She posted a photo of her left hand with a ring that reads “Fuck you.” It appears to be a response to the circulating rumors.
This seems to say it all, though Fox didn’t comment further.
She and Machine Gun Kelly (Colson Baker) met in March of last year, on the set of the indie thriller Midnight In The Switchgrass. They’ve been pretty open about their relationship over the past year; Fox even spoke out about her boyfriend in NYLON.
“I looked into his eyes [and] I felt the most pristine, most gentle, most pure spirit,” she said. “My heart shattered immediately and I just knew that I was fucked.”
At the end of 2020, a source close to MGK told Entertainment Tonight that the artist does think about his future with Fox.
“MGK and Megan make each other laugh and that’s a big thing for Megan. They keep each other smiling,” the source said. “MGK totally sees marriage in his future with Megan and friends could 100 percent see them getting engaged within the next year.” The source adds however, that “Megan doesn’t think about getting engaged [or] married and she doesn’t put a timeline in place and it’s not something that really crosses her mind.”
MGK will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live tonight; John Krasinksi will host.
