On-off couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were reported to be “talking again” at the end of November. That talking may have progressed into something more than a friendship…or so fans theorized after Hadid posted an Instagram Story with Malik’s mom Trisha Malik tagged in it yesterday. “Sunday in the kitchen about to marinate the chicken for one of my favorites!!! @mammamalik’s Chicken Curry Pasta Salad,” Hadid posted.
Malik’s mom reposted Hadid’s Story and then added a second repost of a video from a Zayn/Gigi fan account where Hadid was asked “What’s your favorite restaurant in the world?” and she responded, “My boyfriend’s mom’s house.”
“@gigihadid hahaha 😂👌🤷♀️💋,” Trisha wrote, tagging the model.
Hadid and Malik dated for over two years, so while it’s possible the two could date again, it’s just as possible that Hadid remained friendly with him and his family after their relationship ended for the second time last January.
In November, a source told E! that after months not talking, Hadid and Malik were back in contact. Both are single, but there were no plans then to immediately reconcile.
Hadid “has always had a soft spot for Zayn and they have a lot of history together,” the outlet’s source explained. “They went through a phase where they took time apart and weren’t communicating at all, but they have been in touch recently. She is supportive of him. They chat here and there but it’s been casual.”
A source told E! that Hadid and Malik weren’t dating then and had no intention to start. “They are definitely not getting back together but are on good terms right now,” the source explained.
