Celebrities may live life a lot differently than most people, but even they sometimes step out to do a Target run. Angelina Jolie went shopping at the chain store this yesterday and a photographer captured her arriving at the Los Angeles store with her 12-year-old son Knox. Jolie didn’t wear sweats, though: The actress dressed up in a comfy but chic all-black ensemble. Jolie paired a black top with a long black coat, pants, and leather boots. Her mask matched, too.
Jolie’s six children, Maddox, 19; Pax, 17; Zahara, 16; Shiloh, 14; and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, have been quarantining with her at home in L.A. amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Maddox attends Yonsei University in South Korea and did classes virtually during the spring 2020 semester. As Jolie generally keeps her family’s life private, it’s unclear whether or not Maddox attended classes in person during the fall semester or remained remote. But Entertainment Tonight reported in August that Maddox was still doing virtual classes. And during an interview with Extra that same month, Jolie confirmed his remote attendance, saying, “He had to stay back from Korea. He’s going online [for classes], and so I think he starts at 6 p.m. at night.”
Maddox’s school is currently on winter break, according to the college’s academic calendar, and will not begin its spring 2021 semester until February.
Jolie opened up to E! in August about what her life quarantining with her six children is like. “You know, I’ve never been one who valued relaxation. I like chaos,” she said.
She added that her children have made cameos while she’s been in virtual work meetings. “I’ve been on high level meetings where there’s dogs and balls and kids and things,” she said. “You kind of just enjoy being human with everybody else and laughing through it.” They unwind with movie nights, she said: “Lots of popcorn and just like really every family, we’re just pajamas, robes, snacks.”
