The European online hub for fashion and lifestyle has named Thomas Schwulera as Beauty Vice President. Schwulera will spearhead the comprehensive plan for Zalando’s beauty segment, which has seen double-digit expansion during the previous year.

Thomas Schwulera arrives from L’Oréal, where he occupied leadership positions in various European markets and at the global headquarters in Paris over the last ten years, acquiring significant expertise in digital evolution, e-commerce, and upscale beauty brand management.
As per Zalando, this nomination highlights the platform’s strategic objective to broaden its portfolio in the Beauty sector.
“Given that 76% of Zalando’s 52 million active shoppers are already purchasing from multiple categories, Beauty provides a significant chance for ongoing development. Zalando delivers a meticulously chosen assortment of prominent beauty brands, flawlessly incorporated into its fashion and lifestyle environment, while distinguishing itself through discovery initiatives created to stimulate and delight,” the business announced in a press communication.
Thomas Schwulera and his team will center on boosting Zalando’s beauty sales expansion across Europe through “enhanced selection, technology-driven customization, and captivating content styles.”
