The producer of cosmetic actives, created using plant biotechnology, has revealed intentions to erect and completely outfit modern 1,600 sqm manufacturing and logistical premises in Terrassa, situated about 30 kilometres to Barcelona’s north.
The investment of nearly 3.5 million euros — funded equally by internal funds and a 15-year long-term bank lease — is intended to address the increasing global need for natural actives for cosmetic and personal care items. Building is expected to span from November 2025 through the end of 2026.
The headquarters, research and development hub, along with the main offices and other corporate departments, will stay at the present location on Sant Gaietà Street in Terrassa, positioned only ten minutes from the new factory. Collectively, the business will possess approximately 3,000 square meters of overall space.
Vytrus anticipates the novel plant will triple their manufacturing capability. “This bolstering addresses the company’s sustained expansion, but also the necessity to be industrially ready to perform and fulfill the benchmarks of significant international clients, who require elevated industrial competence from their providers, in addition to adaptability concerning production lead times and quantities,” the business communicated in a statement.
Vytrus’s revenues have risen by 75%, reaching 4.38 million euros during the initial semester of 2025, as indicated by recently released audited financial statements.
Concurrently, sales grew by 76% within the European Union, 49% within the United States, 154% in Asia-Pacific (spearheaded by India), and 48% in LATAM.
In a similar vein, Vytrus has augmented its after-tax income by 182% relative to June 2024, attaining 1.45 million euros, attributable to the surge in revenues, the stewardship of operational expenditures, and the 45% decline in financing costs.
