Tesem wants to make recycled aluminium shine

The Spanish expert in prestige aluminium packaging for the beauty industry wants to solve one of the main disadvantages of recycled aluminium: the lack of shine!

After two years of research and development, Tesem has announced a brand new patent pending technology that makes Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) aluminium shine.

Dubbed BRI&Va, this technology promises for aluminium containing a high percentage of PCR content an elegant shine equivalent to that of virgin aluminium anodized. Thus, it allow brands to leverage the environmental benefits of PCR aluminium [1], while maintaining the luxurious look of shiny metal packaging.

According to Tesem, the BRI&Va technology is now in the scaling-up process. Actually, Chanel has already shown interest in the innovation and is currently working closely with the Tesem team on a new project.

This innovation will be showcased at Tesem’s booth during Luxe Pack Monaco, from September30 to October 2, 2024.
