Eurofragance invests 10 million euros to expand its Barcelona plant

The fragrance manufacturer has inaugurated its expanded production facilities in Rubí, Barcelona, Spain. Ten million euros have been invested in new facilities and dosing robots, enabling to triple the factory’s production capacity.

Automation and sustainability

The Rubí manufacturing site can now support 50% of the company’s annual global output. This will allow the group to meet the growing demand of its customers in the EAT (Europe, Africa and Turkey) and Middle East markets.

Eurofragance added that expanding its manufacturing facility enables it to better serve categories that demand higher production volumes than fine perfumery.

The renovation of our flagship factory along with a redesigned workspace and new robotics allow us to triple our production capacity. The more than 2,000 square meters expansion of our production facility includes remodeled offices and labs to ensure greater ergonomics and increased worker satisfaction. Thanks to an innovative approach and our commitment to sustainability, we have improved our usage of available space, while also creating a more modern, efficient and pleasant work environment,” said Clara Mena, Chief Operations Officer at Eurofragance.

Together with the expansion of the plant, Eurofragance invested in state-of-the-art technologies.

We have automated 80% of our operations. This allows us to improve the reliability and traceability of our processes and increase the quality of our fragrances,” said Santiago Giménez, Global Plant Engineering Manager.

We have also incorporated resource optimization systems, such as the use of solar panels that generate over one third of our energy needs. Additionally, we have strategic internal resources to ensure the continuity of our production process in the event of an unexpected situation,” he added.

35 years in the industry

The inauguration of the expanded Rubí factory coincides with Eurofragance’s 35th anniversary. Founded in Barcelona in June 1990, the company has reached 180 million euros in sales in 2024, up 27% compared to the previous year, and currently employs more than 550 professionals globally.
