The champions of the 2025 Sustainable Beauty Awards were revealed on October 22nd during an evening event at the European edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit (October 22-23, 2025), hosted at the Crowne Plaza République hotel in Paris.
Organized by Ecovia Intelligence, the Sustainable Beauty Awards acknowledge brands, enterprises, and innovators that are pushing forward the sustainability cause through pioneering products, constituents, packaging innovations, or endeavors.

Sustainable Ingredient
Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant secures gold with Pickmulse, a Pickering emulsifier derived from organic quinoa seeds sourced from the Bolivian highlands.
BioTara is awarded silver with Tucuma Butter, originating from ethically procured Tucuma fruits harvested in the Brazilian Amazon region.
New Sustainable Product
Ringana’s Fresh Volume Shampoo attains the gold accolade. The COSMOS-certified organic shampoo incorporates plant-derived components, featuring a mushroom extract compound, fermented rice water, and a copolymer obtained from sugar beet.
Kheoni Wellness garners silver with its Kokum Body Butter Moisturizing Bar. This palm oil-free, natural, solid moisturizer is crafted with kokum sourced from indigenous communities within the southern forests of India.
Sustainable Packaging
CAHM Europe’s QPearl receives the gold recognition. This groundbreaking biomaterial substitutes plastic packaging for shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, and similar offerings. The protein-based material dissolves in water and undergoes biodegradation.
The dual silver recipients are Occeanne and SMCG Glass. The Californian brand, Occeanne, integrates ocean-sourced plastic into its hand wash containers. The Korean enterprise, SMCG Glass, manufactures cosmetic packaging utilizing a substantial proportion of Post-Consumer Recycled glass: 60%.
Sustainability Pioneer
Laverana is celebrated as the gold winner. The Hanover-based natural cosmetics firm gains acknowledgment for its all-encompassing strategy toward sustainability. It has made investments in research and science, a project focused on reforestation, and sustainable packaging solutions.
Croda Beauty is the silver recipient for the biodegradability characteristics of its ingredients. This ingredient provider has broadened the biodegradability information accessible for its functional ingredient collection, now covering a minimum of 90%.
Sustainability Start-Up
C16 Biosciences earns the gold title in this inaugural award category. Based in New York, this organization employs precision fermentation to generate a palm oil substitute from renewable raw materials.
The Dutch start-up Bamboovement secures the silver award. It specializes in the creation of plastic-free oral care and shaving products. Its disposable razor is fashioned from repurposed wood byproducts and bio-based oils.
