“I have very, very sensitive skin,” the model divulges. “I can only use so much, so my routine is pretty simple, and a lot of natural things.” For maximum relaxation, McConaughey begins by making tea with cinnamon, star anise, fennel, ginger, and cloves. “The way that I like to start my going-to-bed routine is with a tea that helps me detoxify,” she says, “so it gets your skin glowing for the next day.”
She then massages a peach- and chamomile-infused essential oil onto her face before rubbing her makeup off with a reusable makeup towel and hot water.
“Usually for my day-to-day, this process is enough to take out all [of my] makeup,” says McConaughey. But on days when she wears more substantial products on her face, she goes even further. That’s where her Mila Moursi Cleansing Milk comes in. “[It] really helps when you have this hard-core waterproof makeup on,” she says.
