Quadpack’s Woodacity 100% timber closure innovation continues to resonate with brands. Following Guerlain’s Habit Rouge Spirit, it now adorns the glass vessels of Adolfo Domínguez’s novel ADN range!
To secure and embellish the dispenser of its latest scent offering, ADN, the Spanish fashion institution Adolfo Domínguez has engaged Quadpack for the creation and manufacturing of a custom-made closure and ring, wholly constructed from PEFC-certified maple.
The single-material approach boasts a truly unique design and implementation. The wooden ring directly threads onto the bottle, thus fastening the pump, while the closure snaps onto the ring. The entire configuration operates without adhesives, plastics, or supplementary materials. It can be readily disassembled with a gentle pull, facilitating effortless separation at the pack’s end of life.
“The Woodacity closure and ring setup reinforces the passionate link with the consumer. The tactile experience is outstanding, from the inviting, sleek texture of the material, to the signature, delicate clicking sound as the closure seals – a sensory delight not typically anticipated from wood,” stated Quadpack in a statement.

Adolfo Domínguez is a frontrunner in embracing wood and Woodacity technology in its packaging, having most recently employed it for the ash closures of its Oriental Collection. For ADN, they opted for accredited maple, due to its polished surface and refined grain detail, with the brand insignia laser etched around the ring.
The Woodacity parts are fabricated and embellished at the Quadpack Wood manufacturing facility in Spain. An on-site biomass power plant utilizes wood leftovers to create energy to fuel the timber desiccation kilns and climate control systems – internal procedures that negate the requirement for transport to external processing locations.
