Miley Cyrus pulled an entire wardrobe of archival looks for the return of her New Year’s Eve special.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer rang in the new year by hosting her second annual NBC live special, Miley’s New Years Eve Party. For the night of performances, which was co-hosted by country legend Dolly Parton, Cyrus and her stylist Bradley Kenneth pulled an array of vintage looks that showed a glamorous side of the singer’s signature rock goddess style.
One standout moment came courtesy of a goddess-style dress from Versace’s spring/summer 2006 collection. The green and orange gown featured swaths of dyed fabric that wrapped around the torso, as well as a thigh-high slit and a subtle cape that draped down the back from the one-shoulder neckline. The star finished the look with gold stiletto sandals, and her wavy blonde hair completed the groovy vibe.

For a duet performance of her single "Midnight Sky" with FLETCHER, Cyrus wore a sparkling minidress from Bob Mackie’s Fall 20o2 collection, titled "To Broadway With Love." The one-shoulderedpiece, which was designed in tribute to the musical Sweet Charity, was made of silk hand-painted with a psychedelic gold, green, orange, and blue pattern, and featured iridescent beaded fringe on the neckline and hem.

The former Hannah Montana star also wore another Versace number to perform Paris Hilton’s 2006 single "Stars Are Blind," alongside Hilton herself and Sia. Pulled from the luxury house’s spring/summer 2005 collection, the slinky-yet-elegant halter gown featured a plunging neckline and ruched detailing at the waist.

The multi-hyphenate previously opened up about her playful style in a 2021 interview, saying, "Fashion to me is kind of flipping yourself inside out."
"There’s something kind of childlike [about it]," she continued. "You’re so fearless when you get yourself dressed when you’re a kid. You don’t think about what someone will think of you or what they’ll judge. It’s just about expression and how you feel that day. There’s a fearlessness. And so when I get dressed, I try to kind of think like my inner child, and be genuine and authentic in whatever I’m wearing."
