The recipients of the Cosmetic 360 Innovation Awards were revealed on Wednesday, October 15th, at the Carrousel du Louvre in the city of Paris.
The Prizes were given out across six areas. Furthermore, a unique Jury Prize was bestowed upon the most noteworthy innovation of all—one that ideally showcased the year’s concept, PREDICTIONS.
The winning entries chosen by the panel [1] are:
“Raw Materials” Field
Sparxell – for their natural pigments extracted from cellulose
Sparxell has engineered a cellulose-based colorant that yields a structural color that reflects light. The budding enterprise intends to present a natural, biodegradable option to plastics, metals, and mica.
“Formulation” Field
Technature – for their color-changing facial mask
Technature not only provides a natural hydrogel-based facial mask, but it also shifts color once it’s time for removal, granting a tailored duration of application and enhancing the efficacy of the components. The opaque facial mask illuminates to signal that the active constituents have penetrated the skin, removing the necessity to extend its duration.
“Testing & Analysis” Field
Brain Impact – for their functional MRI decoding decision markers
Brain Impact’s AI-driven neural examination aids in decoding unconscious determinations, diminishes launch hazards, and therefore boosts commercial prosperity. Through brain imaging and AI-centered deciphering of neural function, it turns out to be viable to anticipate consumer behavior by exposing the unconscious mechanisms underlying their choices.
Packaging & Packing Field
Nexdot – for their UV filter intended for transparent containers
Administered to the surface of the glass container, the Parelux coat guards semi-permanent nail enamel from all light wavelengths. Shielded from UV light, the enamel does not polymerize, and its lasting duration is calibrated to market demands. The container itself stays utterly translucent, permitting the shopper to value the product’s genuine hue and presentation.
Brands & Retail Field
Byome Labs – for their straightforward and rapid microbiological evaluation for tailored suggestions
By scrutinizing the microbiome in less than 2 minutes and without the need for equipment, Byome Labs extends a straightforward and rapid resolution for exceptionally customized cosmetic goods proposals grounded in the appraisal of each individual’s particular microbiome.
Manufacturing Process Field
Smey – for their yeast-obtained oil
This ethical manufacturing process forges custom-designed lipids via precision fermentation improved by Smey’s distinctive AI technology. Smey is the globe’s premier yeast “neobank”, with over 1,000 strains and affording entry to sustainable oil manufacture. Smey’s AI foresees the oil level and outline of any yeast.
Special “Coup de Cœur” Jury Prize
Cosmetopack – for their predictive blueprint of content-container connections
The Cosmetopack joint initiative, managed by Polymeris in conjunction with Cosmetic Valley, is the outcome of years of exploration and analysis. This innovation anticipates interactions linking cosmetic formulations and their bundling, incorporating toxicological limit choice and inspection protocols. Its objective is to bolster the security of plastic packaging used in cosmetic wares.
