The model gives us an inside look at how she keeps her skin glowing.
Halima Aden may be just 22 years old, but she’s already a trailblazer in the modeling industry, from being the first Miss Minnesota USA contestant to wear a hijab and a burkini to becoming the first model to wear a hijab at New York Fashion Week.
In between these epochal history-making moments, Aden adheres to her own personal skin care routine, which keeps her visage healthy and glowing. She walks us through her nightly skin care regimen, which features just six key products, in the latest episode of Go to Bed with Me. You can shop all the products here.

Of her skin type, Aden says, “Sometimes, it’s dry. Sometimes, it’s oily. I tend to get shine on my forehead, my nose, and then during the summertime, my skin is obviously a little bit more oily. And then, during wintertime it tends to be very dry.” For such a diverse composition of potential skin care issues, Aden needs products that can address them all.
To remove her makeup, she uses Tatcha’s Camellia Cleansing Oil, something she said she was inspired to pick up after watching a previous Go to Bed with Me episode, in which tennis superstar Serena Williams used coconut oil as a makeup remover. “Serena Williams recommended,” Aden says, “so do I have to say anymore?”
