As if I haven’t spent a lifetime searching for ways to have my baby picture included in Beyoncé’s celebrity birthday tributes on her website, I now have to find a way to get on her floral arrangement gift list as well. The most recent recipient from Beyoncé’s good list? Taylor Swift.
Last week at the 2021 Grammy Awards, Swift walked away with the coveted Album of the Year for her surprise album Folklore, released last July. Naturally, Beyoncé, who walked away with four Grammy awards—best music video, best rap song, best rap performance, and best R&B performance—sent Taylor a beautiful pink, white, and lavender floral arrangement to congratulate her on winning a Grammy award over the weekend. Taylor posted the arrangement and accompanying note.
“Woke up to flowers from the queen of grace & greatness @beyonce and suddenly it’s the best Friday EVER,” Taylor wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Thank you B and congratulations on your epic achievement Sunday night!!”
Holding the note next to the flowers for all of us to read, Taylor’s letter reads:
“Congratulations on your Grammy. It was great seeing you Sunday night. Thank you for always being so supportive. Sending love to you and your family. B”
Not only did Taylor win album of the year, but she also performed a medley of Folklore cuts during the ceremony, her performance of the year. Taylor sang a stripped-down version of “Cardigan,” “August,” and “Willow,” and was joined by The National’s Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff.
