Dolly Parton can do it all — even saving lives! The country music singer pulled her young co-star Talia Hill away from an oncoming car while filming a new Netflix movie.
Dolly Parton truly is a woman of many talents! The country music icon, 74, stars in a new Netflix holiday movie, titled Christmas On The Square, and her nine-year-old co-star Talia Hill opened up about the time Dolly quite literally saved her life. The youngster said she wandered off to get a cup of hot chocolate before producers asked her to return to her mark. As she was heading back to the set, she felt somebody grab her and pull her away from a car that was headed in her direction. “I looked up and it was Dolly Parton,” Talia told Inside Edition. “I was like, surprised, I was like [gasp].”

“And she’s like, ‘Well, I am an angel, you know,’ ” Talia added. “Cause she plays an angel in the movie. And I was in shock. She hugged me and shook me and said, ‘I saved your life!’” Christmas on the Square, which was recently released on Netflix, takes its name from one of the songs on Dolly’s new Christmas album. It follows Christine Baranski in the role of Regina Fuller, a Scrooge-like character who returns to her hometown to evict residents following her father’s death.

The feel-good Debbie Allen-helmed flick stars Dolly as an angel. “When Dolly walked in she smelled like heaven. She greeted everyone even if you were a trashcan person. It was such a great feeling,” Talia said of the music icon. Her older brother Tristian, who also stars in the movie, only had kind words to say about Dolly. “When you think of Dolly Parton, you are just like, ‘It is Dolly Parton,’ but when you actually see her you are like, ‘Wow, it’s Dolly Parton,’ being in her presence lifts you,” he said. “She is so amazing.”
