What Happened to James Handy?

The Los Angeles Police Department disclosed that Handy sustained stab wounds on June 3, 2026, at his residence in the West Valley area. The assailant was identified as Michael Gledhill, the offspring of Handy’s partner. He was apprehended by the LAPD on suspicion of homicide.

As per an official LAPD press release, authorities responded to a distressed caller who stated, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.” The statement further indicated that Gledhill “flagged down nearby responding officers, telling them he was the one they were looking for.”

“The suspect resides at the location with his mother, who is the victim’s girlfriend,” the police department noted, without naming Handy’s girlfriend. “Detectives believe this is an isolated incident and there appears to be no danger to the public.”

Subsequent to his apprehension, Gledhill was transferred to Van Nuys Jail and charged with one count of murder. His bail was fixed at $2 million.
