Coperni unveils skin-friendly garments, a historic debut in carewear.

On October 6th, Coperni showcased its Spring-Summer 2026 collection during Paris Fashion Week. Having previously teamed up with NASA to engineer the Air Swipe bag from aerogel, a substance composed of 99% air, the label unveiled C+ Carewear, a clothing range dedicated to skincare. The face of the campaign was the model Paloma Elsesser.

At their Paris Fashion Week presentation, the Coperni brand debuted a collection already being hailed as the attire of the future. According to the creators, the pioneering C+ (Carewear) line is designed not only for aesthetics but also to benefit the skin. The collection’s fabrics possess the capacity to aid in microbiome restoration, reinforce the innate protective barrier, and bolster inherent healing mechanisms.

The brand unveiled the initial pieces from this assortment – bodysuits, tops, and leggings – a few days prior, coinciding with Paloma Elsesser becoming the face of the advertising campaign. C+ fabrics were crafted in tandem with the Swiss laboratory HeiQ and are infused with potent elements: prebiotics, probiotics, and polysaccharides.

Each gram of this textile houses up to 140,000 thriving microorganisms that stay functional and “migrate” to the skin through warmth and rubbing. These are potent, viable cultures capable of affecting skin health – analogous to probiotics in beauty products. As per Coperni, this action assists in re-establishing microbiome equilibrium, fortifying the inherent defensive barrier, and aiding the skin’s self-restoration capabilities. The beneficial effect lingers even after forty laundry cycles.

The collection’s core concept, dubbed carewear — “clothing-care” — is articulated plainly by founders Arnaud Vaillant and Sebastian Meyer: they questioned what would transpire if garments could not only clothe an individual but also nurture them. “Currently, there is a widespread aspiration to enhance self-care, elevate our way of living, and discover solace and equilibrium in daily existence,” they stated in a conversation with Dazed. “We frequently overlook that the skin is a dynamic organ, a vulnerable ecosystem. Our intention was to conceive garments that could evolve into its ally — a surrogate skin, suffused with compassion and insight.”
