Italy's Sodalis Group acquires majority stake in Artdeco Group

The Italian health, beauty and personal care group has taken a majority stake in the German family-run Artdeco Cosmetics Group, the firm operating the Artdeco, Make up Factory and Anny brands.

Artdeco is the undisputed market leader in the German selective make up market, with an “affordable luxury” positioning and a strong consumer recognition and loyalty.

Make up Factory offers a wide range of professional make up products and Anny has become the renown nail brand in the selective market.

Founded in 1985 and headquartered just outside Munich, Artdeco Group employs 680 people and operates a proprietary production site for assembly of the products and a logistic warehouse located in Karlsfeld and Bergkirchen (in the greater Munich metropolitan region) respectively.

With this transaction, the Sodalis Group strengthens its business in Germany where it is already active with through its affiliate, Lornamead.
