Victoria Tentler-Krylov’s “Masterpiece”

New York City has long attracted imaginative and enterprising types, not all of whom express their creativity in painting studios or onstage. For the cover of the March 17, 2025, issue, Victoria Tentler-Krylov depicts a scene that takes place daily in kitchens across the city. “I’m unable to exactly follow or re-create any recipe, including my own,” Tentler-Krylov said. “When I cook or bake, I get lost in the creative process. Sometimes it’s a success, and other times—well, art requires sacrifice.”
