A Jonas Brother and his wife are at the Golden Globes tonight, but it may not be the one you’d expect based off the shows and movies nominated. Nick Jonas is a presenter at the ceremony, and he and his wife Priyanka Chopra attended this year’s ceremony. But Sophie Turner, whose Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harington is nominated for an award, and husband Joe Jonas opted to not go. The couple was not photographed on the red carpet, but there is a chance they could attend an after party if they’re in town.
Sophie is not nominated for anything, and she wasn’t tapped to be a presenter at the show, so she has no reason to be there. She was seen most recently on her New Year’s vacation with her husband Joe and her sister-in-law Priyanka in Miami this past weekend.
Joe gave his Instagram followers a gracious look at how the couple dressed for New Year’s Eve. “Happy New Years Everyone! The best year of my life. So far. 2020 vision all they Way! ❤️” he captioned the shot of him and Sophie posing in 2020 glasses together.
In an interview published this June on HarpersBazaar.com, Joe actually revealed that Sophie is to thank for the Jonas Brothers getting back together and making peace with each other after the band’s initial breakup.
“It encouraged me to see she had such a great relationship with her brothers,” Joe said. “That was really a big thing for me to be able to look at, and say, ‘I gotta get my shit together.’” And so he did.
