What Selena Gomez Wore to Go Incognito in Paris

Selena Gomez went to Paris to do press for a day and ended up getting to spend a little time undetected in the city with her friends. How’d she manage that? Gomez’s friend Raquelle Stevens showed just what the singer wore to go incognito while out and about. There’s no wig or anything wild here: Just a coat, sunglasses, a beret, and a scarf covering her mouth. Looks like it worked too: no fan photos or paparazzi photos came out of Gomez in this outfit. As Stevens captioned the Instagram Story, “Hiding lol.”

Stevens shared more photos of the girls’ trip to the French city, including shots from the beautiful hotel they stayed at:

Gomez and Stevens spoke at length about their friendship this fall in their Giving Back Generation interview with their other friends Ashley Cook and Courtney Lopez. The two discussed what they taught each other about trust explicitly. For Gomez, as the celebrity friend of the group, she said she learned a lot about what to share and what not.

“I think what I’ve learned from you guys is how to be respectful of myself and the things I’m speaking about,” she started. “Before I was such a wild card. I’d tell everyone my story. I would invite people into my home. Because that’s just who I was. And it’s great to be welcoming when we all have people over, when we all lived together, it was great. But I think what I learned about trust is to just not spread myself so thin. And I began to trust all of you because you allowed that to happen. I never had that before. People were taking advantage of me; people would share things about me, and it’s hard but I, speaking on friendship specifically, the trust is crucial. It is one of the most important parts of friendship. And that’s worth everything in life.”

Stevens added that trust, “it’s earned. The biggest thing is the people have to earn your trust and earn the right to hear things that are personal and hard. I also think that trust isn’t always I’m going to tell you something, and I’m worried you’re going to tell someone else. It can also be like emotional trust. Like, can I trust you guys with the things that are hard for me or the things that are sad so I think that’s the beautiful thing about a long friendship is that we’ve been able to build that trust.”
