Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds decided to lovingly roast each other this weekend and let all of Instagram see it. Lively took the first shot, poking fun at her husband’s quarantine hair. The actress shared a shot of the end of his hair in a little ponytail—a tiny rattail style. “I dare you to forget that every time you see him for the rest of eternity,” she wrote.
Reynolds reposted Lively’s ‘gram and added his own caption: “Clearly your birth control doesn’t work, so…”
Reynolds revealed before that Lively would be cutting his hair as he remains in quarantine with her and their three daughters. He had received a haircut toward the end of March. He told Stephen Colbert that Lively had cut it once before, but that did not turn out well. “In the end, it looked like she’d done the whole thing only using a lighter or like those gloves made of sandpaper,” he quipped.
Reynolds and Lively regularly poke fun at each other on social media, but Reynolds has more seriously spoken glowingly about his wife’s impact on his life over the years. In 2017, he told Humans of NY at the Met Gala that Lively “always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She’ll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she’s made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn’t want to remember. She made me remember the good times.”
