Zac Efron isn’t photographed out often in Australia, as he’s been able to live a relatively private life in Down Under during the coronavirus pandemic. But on Monday, Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Valladares went out together in Melbourne, and paparazzi captured their outing. It was a rare sighting of the couple, who have been dating for over eight months now, and confirmation that their relationship remains very much on. The couple was last photographed together in January, although Valladares was seen on set of Efron’s show Down to Earth with Zac Efron on March 9.
Things may be escalating more this spring, according to a new report from the Daily Mail. A “well-placed source” told the outlet that Efron is planning to bring Valladares to Canada with him while he’s shooting Stephen King film Firestarter there. According to the Mail, that filming is set to start in May and will reportedly run for eight weeks. The couple will return to Australia together after.
Efron and Valladares’ relationship became serious quickly—at least based on media reports. The couple, according to People, met in the summer. “Zac met Ness earlier in the summer. They started hanging out in July and recently took a ski trip together,” a source told People in September 2020. “You can tell that they are having fun. She spends a lot of time at this house.”
By October, they had moved in together. “Their relationship is very serious,” a source told People that month. “Vanessa lives with Zac in Byron Bay.” Valladares planned Efron’s birthday party that month.
Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands spoke in October about the event and the two’s relationship. “Vanessa invited me,” he said. “You couldn’t get a lovelier, sweeter girl. She knew everything, and she put everything together. She’s a sweetheart.”
He added of Efron, “He’s in love with this girl, Vanessa. They’re a beautiful couple. They do everything together. They’re just sweet.”
