Kanye West celebrated his 43rd birthday yesterday, and Kim Kardashian West went all out on her Instagram marking the occasion. She shared a grid post with old photos of them, along with multiple Instagram Stories detailing the impact West has had on her life.
On her grid, Kardashian West kept her tribute simple: “Happy Birthday to my King,” she wrote.

On her Instagram Story, Kardashian West was more profuse, gushing about her husband. “Thank you for always being you and never letting the world change who you are!” she wrote on one slide. “Life wouldn’t be the same without you!”
In a second slide, Kardashian West wrote about West’s reaction to her sharing she was pregnant for the first time with their daughter North West. “Fun fact about this pic,” she wrote. “I just found out I was pregnant with North and made Kanye fly to London for my Kardashian Kollection appearance bc I was freaking out! He took me to Hakassan [a Michelin star Chinese restaurant] and then Hagen Daz to make me feel better.”
Kardashian West’s tributes come after tabloid reports that she and West have struggled a little quarantining together. Us Weekly reported in mid-May that Kardashian West felt like she was on her own parenting the couple’s four children.
“Kim feels like she needs some space from Kanye,” a source told the outlet. “She is trying to be a great mom, focus on law school and her work commitments, and it’s hard to do all of this without Kanye helping as much as he can. ”
The source added that they’ve been taking advantage of the extra time together and communicating. “They’ve had more time together to talk about their feelings, about the kids, her law career goals and his business ideas,” the source said. “She’s trying to keep her family together, especially for the kids’ sake.”
Kardashian West never commented on that report or any others suggesting she and West were having marital trouble. But she did publicly affirm her lifelong commitment to West in her wedding anniversary tribute to them. “6 years down; forever to go. Until the end,” she captioned a shot of them.
