See Jennifer Lopez’s Rainy Day Look with a Black Coat and Trousers

Jennifer Lopez’s latest off-duty look is perfect for a rainy fall afternoon.

During a outing in LA yesterday, the superstar was photographed in a cold-weather outfit that gave a stylish spin on a classic professional look. The "Jenny From the Block" singer layered a sleek black trench coat over a white button-up blouse and tan wide-leg slacks.

She finished the outfit with some subtle glam accessories, including black platform heels and a leather and canvas monogram tote by Saint Laurent. Her only visible accessories were thin silver hoops, and her hair was styled in a simple top-knot bun.

The solo outing comes soon after the multi-hyphenate announced her upcoming album This Is Me…Now, a new take on her 2002 album, This Is Me… Then, which she wrote during her early-2000s romance with her now-husband Ben Affleck. The new project will highlight the couple’s reunion and marriage two decades after they broke up.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, the "All I Have" singer opened up about how Affleck inspired her to get into the recording studio in both instances—20 years ago and now.

"That album, This Is Me… Then, really captured a moment in time where I fell in love with the love of my life. It’s all just right there on the record and I didn’t even realize what was happening or what I was doing. It was just everyday going from the set to the recording studio, doing the thing, being in love, him coming into the studio," she reflected. "When I listen to the lyrics now, I didn’t even realize that I was writing some of our story that would happen, which was sick. … I didn’t even realize it was kind of prophetic in a way."

She added, "When he came back into my life, again the same thing happened where I felt so inspired and so overtaken with emotion that it was just pouring out of me. When I feel good, I write music. And I wrote music and I got in the studio in I think May and by August when we got married, it was done."
