A Game of Thrones baby is on the way! Rose Leslie and Kit Harington are expecting, Leslie confirmed in the U.K.’s Make Magazine, in which she debuts her maternity look. The couple, who began dating in 2012 and had an on-off relationship before getting engaged in 2017, tied the knot at an actual castle in Scotland in 2018.
They announced their engagement in The Times of London in September 2017 in this old-school, charming manner:
“Mr K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie. The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the announcement read.

In a 2016 Vogue cover story interview with Harington recounted his favorite memories from Game of Thrones, which involves falling in love with Leslie, his former co-star on the show.
He said he fondly recalls “the three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love [with my girlfriend Rose]. If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love…”
In an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show in October 2017, Harington shared that he had planned a big surprise for his proposal to Leslie.
“I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff,” he revealed. “But we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine. I blew my load early,” he said, inspiring laughs. “I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early.”
