Congratulations to Reese Witherspoon for wearing one of the most incredible dresses of the evening at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Before she even arrived on the red carpet, Witherspoon revealed her look on her Instagram. The Morning Show actress wore a sleek black and white Celine column dress with her lob-length hair straight. She accessorized with Harry Winston jewels.
It’s an award season best—and personal best—for the star. She was rightfully feeling her look, casually captioning her Insta, “Waiting for my Uber like…#SAGawards 💫”
Witherspoon is nominated for her role on Big Little Lies (she’s part of the cast nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series). Some of her The Morning Show co-stars are also nominated, with Jennifer Aniston in the running for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.
Aniston shared the best award season story involving Witherspoon right after the Golden Globes earlier this month. Witherspoon was brave enough to ask Beyoncé for a glass of the champagne she and Jay Z brought to the ceremony. Aniston wrote on her Instagram Story, “Reese!? This is one of the many reasons I love you. We ran out of water at our table. So naturally, she asked Jay Z and Beyoncé for a glass of their champagne.”
Beyoncé rewarded Witherspoon for her courage by sending her an entire case of champagne (“more water,” Beyoncé wrote in the card) and her entire new Ivy Park collection. Witherspoon dutifully shared her reaction to both gifts on Instagram.
