Today is Cody Simpson’s 23rd birthday. The Australian entertainer, poet, and model, who is 27-year-old Miley Cyrus’s boyfriend, spent his birthday at the Emporio Armani fashion show in Milan. Per the Daily Mail, Simpson appeared at the event with a blazer over his shirtless chest. He topped it all off with silver necklaces.
Although Simpson was abroad for his birthday, his girlfriend, Cyrus, made sure to make him feel love before his big day earlier this week. She gave him a doctor bag inscribed with a crown logo and the words “Prince Neptune,” which is the poet’s moniker Simpson gave himself and is even his name on Twitter. Cyrus put a photo of the bag on her Instagram story.
Cyrus gave Simpson the bag for his birthday, but she also had some pretty great gifts up her sleeve for Christmas a few weeks ago. Per Cyrus’s Instagram story, she gave Simpson a pocket watch from the 1800s. The doctor bag is also from the 1800s.
In addition to the thoughtful present(s), Cyrus posted a birthday tribute on her story for Simpson. In one, Cyrus and Simpson take a selfie while wearing matching face masks. “Happy birthday to my favorite human to get weird with on the entire earth,” she wrote, adding a skull and crossbones emoji.
She added another post, in which she referred to Simpson as a “pirate”: “Happy birthday to my best friend in the entire world @codysimpson,” she said, adding six skull and crossbones emojis. “I love you and your pirate life!”
By October, Cyrus and Simpson seemed to be definitely romantically involved. This was only two months after news broke of Cyrus’s split from Liam Hemsworth.
