Meghan Markle and Prince Harry haven’t keeping things pretty quiet since they announced that they will be stepping back from royal life and giving up their HRH titles. Last Thursday, though, the two were in Miami, where they spoke at a JP Morgan event. The event was at 1 Hotel in Miami’s South Beach, and apparently, so was Meghan and Harry’s double-date with Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez.
Page Six reported reported that the foursome dined at the hotel’s restaurant, Habitat.
“Harry and Meghan got on really well with Jennifer and Alex, and spent some time chatting with them over dinner,” the source said. “J.Lo was overheard inviting the couple and their baby Archie to her and Alex’s house in Miami to spend time with them and their kids.”
Page Six also says that Meghan and Harry reportedly stayed at the Palm Beach home of Serena Williams, Meghan’s good friend.
Williams, who attended the royal wedding in May 2018 and threw Meghan her baby shower when she was pregnant with Archie, has spoken of her close friendship with Meghan. But at the Australian open in January, she shut down reporters who tried to ask her about Meghan and the royal exit news.
“Your good friend, Meghan Markle, who attended your last two slams, and Harry, have taken a move, a stance that many people think is extraordinary and historic,” the reporter said, before asking: “What are your feelings about that? Have you spoken to her?”
“Yeah, I have absolutely no comments on anything with that,” she said. “But, good try. You tried. You did good,” she said.
So far, no one has tried to ask J.Lo and A-Rod about their royal double date, but it’s likely that their answer will be similar to Williams’s.
