Lori Loughlin Hired Someone to Help Her Through Prison

Per People, actress Lori Loughlin has hired an expert to help prepare her for spending time behind bars, should she end up being ordered to do so.

“She has someone who is advising her what to do in case she loses her case and goes to prison,” a source told People. “The advisor is there to help her learn the ropes. That’s not to be construed that she thinks she’s going to lose her case. Lori is a planner, and she is doing what she needs to do for all contingencies.”

Loughlin, who could spend up to 45 years in prison, is learning how to get through prison, where she knows she would be very high-profile.

“Table manners are different; social interactions are different,” the source told People. “Here on the outside, eye contact is a good thing. You meet someone and you shake their hands and stare them in the eyes. In prison, you might not do that. You don’t want to challenge someone.”

2019 was a tumultuous year for Loughlin. In March, news broke that Loughlin and her husband, Italian fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are included in a group of parents who are accused of facilitating their children to cheat on college entrance exams and bribing college administrators to recruit their kids as student-athletes.

Giannulli and Loughlin allegedly bribed University of Southern California admissions officials with $500,000 to make their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, appear as rowing team recruits.

In April, Loughlin was indicted on additional charges, including “conspiring to launder the bribes and other payment in furtherance of the fraud by funneling them through [Rick] Singer’s purported charity and his for-profit corporation,” per TMZ. She refused a plea deal that could cost her more time in prison, if that’s where she ends up.

In early December, Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade posted a new vlog on her famous account for the first time since the college admissions scandal broke. She wasn’t able to speak about much, though, because her parents’ case is still ongoing.

“There’s no point in me just talking for 10 minutes to the camera about how I wish I could say something when I really can’t so I’m going to leave it at that,” she said.
