With all of Los Angeles nightlife closed, Nobu has become the go-to spot for celebrities to get photographed by the paparazzi. That hasn’t changed for some stars like Kendall Jenner, even if the state has been under a stay-home order for months and recently ordered restaurants to stop indoor dining for at least three weeks due to the region’s spike in COVID-19 cases.

According to the photo agency, Kendall didn’t seem to just be grabbing pickup. She went to the restaurant with her preferred platonic date Fai Khadra and “a few” friends. Nobu Malibu’s website specifies they’re still open for dine-in—presumably outdoors given L.A.’s no-indoor-dining order. California is currently prohibiting social gatherings with people from multiple households and advises residents to wear a mask whenever you’re with someone you don’t live with.
Kendall’s Nobu outing comes roughly one week after Kendall went on vacation to Utah’s five-star Amangiri Resort with Fai, Kylie Jenner, and more friends, flouting the state’s stay-at-home order and non-essential travel ban. In photos she shared of the Utah getaway, no one was masked.

This is just the latest instance of Kendall ignoring the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As early as April, she went on a seven-plus-hour road trip to Sedona, Arizona with NBA player Devin Booker. They were not quarantining together.
According to TMZ’s source, they took some precautions. “Kendall and friends have a small social circle amongst the group, who have been following the same social distancing and physical distancing guidelines,” the source said at the time. “Devin is a friend and is part of the small group. They took a road trip for some much-needed air.” Kendall, for context, lives in a 6,625-square-foot Beverly Hills estate.
